Darren Gardner founded Haven Bridge Living after two decades in Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service and the Ministry of Justice, where he saw firsthand that a home is far more than a physical space — it is the foundation on which people rebuild stability, confidence and hope. That experience shaped his belief that housing is profoundly human: not just a roof or a tenancy, but a place where someone finally feels safe, seen and able to breathe again. Haven Bridge Living exists to create high‑quality, accessible homes that empower individuals to live independently, safely and with dignity, because a home can change a life.
I’ve watched the pressures placed on local authorities, housing associations and supported living providers grow heavier every year — rising demand, shrinking supply, complex needs and limited resources. Yet behind every referral, every waiting list, every urgent placement, there is a real person hoping for a chance to rebuild. That is why I chose this path.
Haven Bridge Living exists to support the organisations who carry this responsibility every day. My mission is to create homes that genuinely improve lives and to build partnerships rooted in trust, integrity and shared purpose. I listen first, understand what each organisation needs, and then work to deliver homes that are safe, compliant, sustainable and truly fit for the people who will live in them.
Our early focus is accessible living accommodation — homes designed to give people independence, confidence and dignity. As we grow, we will expand into supported living, temporary accommodation, move‑on housing and specialist homes, always guided by the same belief: everyone deserves a home that supports their future, not limits it.
I am building Haven Bridge Living with the support of the Purposeful Property Project, a community committed to using property for positive social impact. Through ongoing learning, mentorship and collaboration, I am shaping a business that stands for professionalism, compassion and long‑term partnership.
Trust isn’t built through promises. It’s built through consistent action. My goal is simple: to create homes that change lives, and to work alongside organisations who believe, as I do, that housing is one of the most powerful tools for human transformation.
We provide safe, high‑quality accommodation that meets the needs of vulnerable individuals and families. Every home we create is designed to offer stability, dignity and a foundation for a better future.
Access to secure housing can transform someone’s life, opening the door to support, opportunity and long‑term wellbeing. Our work ensures people who need it most have a place where they can feel safe, supported and valued.
We collaborate closely with local authorities, care providers and community organisations to deliver reliable, compliant housing solutions. Our partnerships are built on transparency, accountability and a shared commitment to improving lives.
